The consultation of papers on any kind of intervention is a lengthy,
difficult and often non-exhaustive operation. A valid alternative to this is the
memorisation of information (tables, texts, drawings, pictures, videos and sounds) on
CD-ROM or other computer systems where all information is connected in a logical way, in a
sequence or divided into different "branches". This allows an easy consultation,
circulation and research of information, moreover it does not take a lot of room and
protects paper documents from deterioration due to repeated consultation.
Computer systems for classification
and recording are being used increasingly. They can be customised in order to satisfy any
special requirement : from the configuration of complex connected systems to
user-interfaces for data input. Data-display systems may be set up both for internal use
and for communicating data (even on the Internet).
There is also a special function for
the management of numerical data coming from surveys on built-up areas, which is used for
metrical surveys (with error averaging), statistics, geometrical surveys (research of
modularity, generatrix and construction lines), and structural-historical surveys.
